Smith & Tzannes is a Sydney-based architecture and urban strategy practice, led by Peter Smith, Andrew Tzannes, and Andrew Nicolle. Since 2004, we’ve delivered a diverse range of projects, from single homes to multi-dwelling developments, civic spaces, and urban planning.

Our team of 18 architects and designers is driven by purpose, creativity, and collaboration. We work in project-focused teams that share knowledge, challenge ideas, and work hard to get the right outcome. We embrace curiosity, constantly asking what if?, to create spaces that are both beautiful and functional.

Through deep respect for our clients and collaborators, we create shared, strategic visions and solve problems beautifully, focusing on quality, practicality and cost effectiveness.

With over 20 years of experience in local and state government policy, we understand not only what the regulations are, but why they exist. We know how the system works. More importantly, we know how to navigate it. Our clients trust our expertise because we communicate it clearly, offering smart, strategic solutions that deliver lasting value.

We are expert architects in residential, multi-residential and public architecture. With a collective approach we make the design process enjoyable and straight-forward. We draw on our 20+yrs experience and specialist knowledge in government policy writing & planning to solve problems that result in beautiful, practical spaces.
