RIVERSTONE TOWN CENTRE
Riverstone Town Centre is a major urban renewal project in Sydney's North West Growth Area, transforming into a vibrant, mixed-use hub with new homes, jobs, retail (George Street as main street), improved transport (around Riverstone Station), and green spaces, focusing on flood resilience after past events, with the NSW Government leading a rezoning to deliver up to 3,600 homes, employment lands, and better community facilities for a growing population.
A key driver is to relocate the town centre to higher ground away from flood risk from Eastern Creak and Hawkesbury River.
Providing strategies for flood resilience involved deep collaboration with Rhelm Engineers and our understanding of architecture and planning systems on flood affected land.
